Nasik, situated at a height of more than 2000 feet above sea level, enjoys a climate suitable for growing excellent quality wine grapes. The soil is highly conducive for grape cultivation. Hence, more than 50% of India’s table variety grapes are grown in and around Nasik.
In recent years focus has changed and every year several 100
acres of land is now being brought under cultivation of ‘Wine’ varieties of grapes. The total acreage under wine grape cultivation is more than 60,000 acres. In this region Chenin Blanc is planted extensively followed by Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
In our own Vineyard we cultivate wine grape varieties like Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon & Sauvignon Blanc.
We also plan to cultivate in our vineyard wine grape varieties like Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay & Cabernet Franc.
The supervision of cultivated land is conducted periodically by our viticulturists and hence quality of grapes is achieved at par to international standards.
